Rupert Chan

Rupert brings to the table over two decades of expertise in software and hardware development. His multifaceted background spans a broad spectrum of disciplines, underscoring his agility in integrating and leveraging emerging technologies. With a strong track record in execution and building teams, Rupert is recognized for his instrumental role in architecting key CSE Automation Platforms and realizing transformative IT projects across many sectors.

Always passionate about technology, Rupert started volunteering his time on the Microsoft Network (MSN) in 1996, and eventually landing contract roles where he gained early hands-on experience in systems administration and software development. Over the years, his accomplishments range from advocating and establishing Wi-Fi security protocols at major Banks in the early 2000s, optimizing the performance of mainframe billing systems, to automating chip testing and result reporting at ATI/AMD.

An entrepreneur at heart, Rupert has founded numerous businesses and continues to grow new opportunities here within CSE.

Rupert is a proud alumnus of the University of Waterloo, where he earned his Bachelor of Applied Science, specializing in digital integrated circuit design and microprocessor systems.
